British actress Tara Palmer-Tomkinson has reportedly resorted to speed dating after being dumped by nine men.Tara said that she thought about trying speed dating after being ditched by Matalan heir Jamie Hargreaves, who chose singleton freedom over marital bliss with Tara.
"Tara's always up for a bit of unconventional fun. And after the luck she's had in the past decade, you can't blame her for thinking that she might fare better in a speed-dating setting," Ananova quoted a close friend of Tara as saying.
"After all, even if she doesn't find Prince Charming, she'll spend less time weeding out the frogs," she added.
Tara's friend also said that dating agencies have gained some respectability in society and people in Tara's world followed the kind of rituals mimicked by the modern speed dating agencies.
"Years ago, she would have made her debut in society and had her suitors line up accordingly. The modern equivalent of this is speed dating if you think about it. And she certainly isn't desperate," added Tara's pal. (ANI)
